A New Year Letter from Shelby

Beloved Yogi,

Thank you to the teachers in ALL things, 2020. We've witnessed the call to grow and expand and we have shown up! Thank you yogi for staying the course with us.

We opened our doors in March 2011, coming up on a decade of sharing an ancient practice in a modern way to enrich our lives and grow our capacity to meet life as life meets us.

Yoga teaches us to be with what is, as it is, with no attachment to any particular outcome, but rather expansion and gratitude for everything that our life experiences have to offer.

The year of 2020 and the start of 2021 have been a call to action to go deeper within ourselves and ask what we truly align with and how we can step into the energy we want to bring forth in our relationships with ourselves, our brothers and sisters, and the world around us. The pressure is the call, and the response is your heart's intention leading the way.

Although our year has been trying to say the least, our community has grown beyond the realms of our four walls. We are now an internationally subscribed studio with members all over the world coming together in practice and connection.

We could never imagine that a devastating global pandemic could bring us all together from the outreaches of the globe to the center of our heart space at BFREE Yoga, but in so many ways it has.

Our team has gone above and beyond to create an online experience where we can all come together again and again and again. In this digital space, we honor the traditions of yoga, align our body, exercise our breath, and set intentions that reveal why we do what we do every single day.

Our teachers and staff: Iva, Leah, Lauren, Nicolette, Brooke, Carolina, Evan, Kat, Megan, Laura, Alex, and Sable show up endlessly and you show up fearlessly and together we have an everlasting connection.

As a team and community, we have come together to keep the spirit of strong values, self-study, presence, and gratitude at the forefront of our intentions. I am inspired every day, every breath, by the power of yoga and your commitment to your practice.

Thank you.

The future of in-studio classes at BFREE is still uncertain, with guidelines and restrictions constantly changing. Even with the vaccines on the way, our studio has struggled financially over the last 11 months. Our top priority always is to make decisions with the safety and health of our community members in mind.

Here is how we will depend on your support to stay open this year:

  • If you have not tried the Digital Studio yet, you owe it to your practice to give it a try. Your first week is free, and you can enjoy 50% off your first month using code LOVE50 - that's less than $25 for 5 weeks of yoga.

  • The Digital Studio annual membership is $499, a savings of $89 annually.

  • At this time, the studio remains open safely and consciously with a limited capacity. 5 class packs are available for purchase here.

  • We have received requests for how our community can help. If you would like to consider a single or recurring monthly donation of $15 to ensure BFREE's doors stay open, please click here for single and click here for recurring. Your support will go towards keeping our lights on, the studio warm, and our teachers paid.

Moving forward, we are continuing to depend on the Digital Studio for survival. Your monthly support allows us to sustain our studio and keep our doors open. I invite you to stay committed to your practice and continue your journey of growth and expansion with us.

Thank you for believing in BFREE Yoga and the community and family we have cultivated and thank you for helping to keep our studio alive. We look forward to more breath and movement and life with you in 2021!

Love and all the OMs,

Shelby
